At around 10am on Sunday, a motorist tried to dodge a check at the French border and headed in the direction of Differdange. He then ploughed into two parked vehicles, bringing his car to a definitive halt.

The police were alerted and once at the scene, took the driver into custody. He admitted to having consumed cannabis.

Checks also showed that he was already subject to a driving ban. On top of that, his vehicle was unregistered and had no valid insurance.

The car was seized on the orders of the public prosecutor's office, and official reports were filed.
