On Sunday afternoon, between 3.30pm and 5.30pm, police conducted routine speed checks on the A7 motorway in Luxembourg. During the operation, officers monitored vehicles travelling northbound.

One driver was caught travelling at an alarming speed of 235 km/h, far exceeding the legal limit. As a consequence, the individual’s driving licence was immediately revoked, and their vehicle was seized by authorities.

In addition to this case, 13 other motorists were fined for exceeding the speed limit by more than 25 km/h. Each received a fine of €145 and had two points deducted from their driving licences.

The checks also led to the discovery of another serious offence: one driver was found to be operating their vehicle under the influence of drugs.
