During the night of Wednesday to Thursday, a motorist in Luxembourg City refused to yield to a police vehicle and ignored officers’ orders to stop, leading to a brief chase.
The incident began when a police patrol encountered a vehicle at the intersection of Avenue Emile Reuter and Boulevard Prince Henri. The driver cut off the officers at high speed, nearly causing an accident. Police signalled for the driver to pull over, but the individual refused to comply and instead sped away, driving across tramway tracks toward Place de l’Étoile.
Officers pursued the vehicle and eventually stopped it near a service station on Route d’Arlon. During the check, the driver was uncooperative and tested positive for alcohol. As a result, they were issued a temporary driving ban.
