Amid coalition talksCivil service union pleads for inclusive wage negotiations

RTL Today
Amid ongoing coalition talks between the CSV and the DP, the CGFP civil service union is pushing for broader wage negotiations that include OGBL representatives.

In light of the ongoing coalition negotiations between the Christian Social People’s Party (CSV) and the Democratic Party (DP), the General Confederation of the Civil Service (CGFP) has put out a list of demands for issues they want the new government to tackle.

The CGFP believes that wage negotiations should extend beyond just the CGFP and the government, in order to have a more global impact and involve a variety of affected people. A statement from the CGFP cites municipal employees and those hired by the National Railway Company (CFL) as examples of those that should be included.

Since the majority of those workers are represented by the Independent Luxembourg Trade Union Confederation (OGBL), the CGFP believes that the OGBL should also be included in future discussions.
