The CSV fraction initially insisted that the respective commission would need to convene immediately on Monday. In light of the State of the Nation address on Tuesday, it would be of upmost importance to have clarity on the situation, with insight into potential governmental measures against the rising tendency of new cases over the past weeks.
When contacted by our colleagues from RTL.lu, the president of the health commission stated that an agreement had already been put into place, so that minister Lenert would lay out the current developments to all MPs. The session of the commission will meanwhile take place on Wednesday.
The Minister of Health also gave a press conference on Monday morning, where she reiterated the importance of maintaining focus on limiting social contacts. She also confirmed that infection numbers in retirement homes were on the rise as well. Nevertheless, thus far she does not believe that new measures should be introduced.
