As announced by Chamber President Claude Wiseler on Tuesday afternoon, Sven Clement will have one-quarter of his parliamentary allowance withheld for one month.

Marc Goergen faces a harsher penalty, with one-third of his allowance withheld for two months, along with a formal public reprimand.

On top of that, Clement is barred from taking part in official parliamentary delegations for one month.

The Conference of Presidents of the Chamber based its decision on the recommendations of the Advisory Committee on the Conduct of Members.

The sanctions relate to the conduct of the Pirate Party MPs during the 2018-2023 legislative term.

This matter is separate from the "Malt app" case, which was the subject of a different special report by the Court of Auditors, and whose consequences are not yet known.
