Forest pathsCarole Dieschbourg reacts to criticism from "Mouvement Ecologique"

RTL Today
During the International Day of Forests, the environmental organisation argued that the creation of new paths was one of the reasons for the country's forests being "weak".

Minister for the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development Carole Dieschbourg has now reacted to the accusations and emphasised that the government is well-aware of existing problems: "We are especially careful when it comes to our forests and the creation of sustainable projects. We will not create any new paths, only expand the ones that already exist. Furthermore, we only use natural material to fortify the paths."

Minister Dieschbourg also expressed her disappointment that "Mouvement Ecologique" is now coming forward with these claims instead of addressing them in time. After all, both parties met only recently to discuss this very topic, the politician noted.
