Esch-sur-Alzette and Luxembourg CityBurglars caught and arrested

Multiple break-ins were reported in various locations, including Belval and Bech-Kleinmacher, resulting in stolen items.

In Esch-sur-Alzette, a man, suspected of several burglaries, was apprehended while attempting to search the basement of a block of flats on Rue de Belvaux. Upon inspection, authorities discovered stolen items in his possession from previous incidents. The individual was subsequently arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office.

Similarly, in Luxembourg City, two individuals were apprehended while breaking into a bistro on Rue de Hollerich after being spotted by a police patrol inside the premises. They were also arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office.

Meanwhile, a break-in occurred in the basement of a block of flats on Avenue du Rock-n-Roll in Esch-Belval. The burglars fled the scene after being startled by a resident, taking two bicycles with them. Despite immediate search efforts, they evaded capture.

Additionally, a flat in a block of flats on Route du Vin in Bech-Kleinmacher was broken into on Monday evening, resulting in the theft of an unspecified sum of cash.

Forensic teams were despatched to all locations, initiating thorough investigations into each incident.

Driving licence confiscated

In a separate incident in Huldange, a driver attempting to flee upon spotting police officers was apprehended in Hautbellain. Subsequent alcohol testing revealed the driver was under the influence, leading to the issuance of a temporary driving ban.
