The public prosecutor's office confirmed on Monday that Sunday's garage fire in Bertrange, which left two bodies at the scene, does not appear to have been deliberately set.

No traces of accelerant were found at the scene. Instead, the prosecutor's office believes that pallets had been set alight for heating purposes, and that the blaze then spread from there to the building itself.

Autopsies have been ordered to establish conclusively how the two victims lost their lives. So far, the identities of the two individuals have not yet been formally confirmed.
