In Schifflange, an unidentified individual forcibly entered a residence on Rue Basse by tampering with the terrace door last Sunday. Preliminary findings suggest that the perpetrator was likely startled by a motion-activated light, prompting a hasty retreat.
Similarly, on the same evening, around 10.25pm, another attempted break-in occurred at a detached house on Rue du Titelberg in Lamadelaine. Here, an intruder attempted to force open the front door but was interrupted by a resident. Despite efforts, a search for the burglar proved unsuccessful.
Both incidents are under investigation by the police.
