Set to open on 22 August, the Schueberfouer will offer six new rides and six new food stalls this year.

Once again, the fair will feature both traditional favourites and fresh attractions. In total, six new rides and six new food outlets have been added to the line-up. The selection of operators is not random but follows a defined system.

More than 500 showmen applied to set up their businesses at the Schueberfouer, but only 213 applications were approved. According to fairground director Laurent Schwaller, space simply does not allow for more participants. He explained that it is not a question of "first come, first served". Instead, each stand is assessed under a precise points-based system, he said. Schwaller explained further that this system takes into account the size of the rides, which determines how they can be arranged on the site, as well as bonuses awarded to both new attractions and long-standing classics. The goal, he noted, is to ensure an interesting mix every year.

The new rides are called Evolution, Mondlift, Rio Rapidos, Fortress Tower, Take Off and Polyp. While the construction of some is almost complete, others will only be set up later for logistical reasons. Nevertheless, everything must be ready by Friday, 22 August.

The food stalls will also see some novelties, including the Schnitzelhütte, the Corndogs House, Falafel Taxi, the Mini Donuts Factory, and the Chalet de Chocolat.

Many operators travel with several lorries and a full team to set up their attractions, a process that usually takes about a week. Most spend the entire year touring with their rides, and for the Schueberfouer, preparations often begin as much as four months in advance.

Another change this year is the division of Family Day into two separate dates: one dedicated to rides and the other to food. On Wednesday 27 August, reduced prices will apply to attractions, while on Wednesday 3 September, special offers will be available at the food stalls.
