Luxembourg's government faces growing domestic pressure as over 100 cultural and political leaders unite to condemn Israel's actions in Gaza and demand policy interventions.
More than 100 prominent Luxembourgish figures from cultural, political, and academic circles have joined a Jewish Call for Peace initiative demanding government intervention against Israel's military operations in Gaza.
The signatories - including actors, musicians, writers, and former ministers - accuse Israel of "destroying the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank."
The collective calls on Luxembourg's government to implement "diplomatic, commercial, and economic pressure at the national, European, and international levels" to address the situation.
Notable signatories include actors Vicky Krieps and Sophie Mousel, former Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn, authors Guy Rewenig and Guy Helminger, musician Serge Tonnar, as well as the renowned legal scholar Luc Heuschling.
