With panoramic views over the Pétrusse valley, the hidden garden of the British Ambassador's residence will open its gates for one day only on 5 June as part of the LUGA exhibition – register now as capacity is limited.

In a rare public opening, the British Ambassador to Luxembourg, Joanne Olivier, will welcome visitors into the garden of her official residence on Wednesday, 5 June, as part of the Luxembourg Urban Garden (LUGA) exhibition. The one-day event offers the public a unique opportunity to explore a hidden green space in the heart of Luxembourg City, featuring sweeping views over the Pétrusse valley, where several LUGA installations are located.

The ambassador's residence is located at 16 Boulevard FD Roosevelt. Entry is free, but pre-registration is required due to limited capacity, so each guest must register individually via this link.

Focusing on themes of sustainability and biodiversity, garden tours will be guided by eco agents from St George's International School. These primary and secondary pupils will not only explain the garden's environmentally friendly features but also present their own sustainability projects.

Embassy spokespeople say the day promises a blend of nature, education, and a fresh perspective on sustainability through the eyes of the next generation. The initiative is part of the wider LUGA programme, which highlights urban greening and innovation across the city in various shapes and forms from 7 May to 18 October 2025.
