A house fire in Wiltz early Thursday morning forced seven residents to relocate, while separate road accidents on Wednesday left one person injured.

A house located on Rue des Tisserands in Wiltz caught fire at 2.24am on Thursday. Several fire brigades were deployed to the scene, including ones from Wiltz, Goesdorf, Clervaux, Wincrange.

While nobody sustained injuries in the blaze, the mayor of Wiltz confirmed that seven people living in the building had to be relocated, with municipal authorities providing assistance.

The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) further reports two accidents on Wednesday evening. The first one was a two-car collision, which happened between Remerschen and Schengen at 5.32pm. Emergency services from Remich and Schengen tended to the scene, though no injuries occurred.

A second collision, reported between Wasserbillig and Moersdorf at 6.22pm, left one person injured. Emergency services from Mertert and Echternach were deployed to the scene to provide assistance.
