Passengers will soon have a more convenient way to reach Findel Airport, as the tram expands its route with two new stops starting this Sunday.
Starting Sunday, 2 March, the tram will introduce two new stops and establish a direct connection to Findel Airport.
The planned arrival of the tram at Findel Airport was announced for March 2025, and it appears that the Ministry of Mobility's plans remain on track without any disruptions. From this Sunday onward, all tram passengers will be able to access the route linking Kirchberg to Findel Airport.
The two new stops being introduced are "Senningerberg, Héienhaf" and "Findel-Luxembourg Airport." The "Senningerberg, Héienhaf" stop will connect the tram network to the P+R facility on Route de Trèves, while the "Findel-Luxembourg Airport" stop will provide passengers with direct access to the airport. Both stops will also be served by multiple bus routes.
In the future, a new bus station is set to be constructed at the Senningerberg stop. This development aims to improve regional connectivity by accommodating additional RGTR lines originating from eastern Luxembourg and Germany, as stated in the ministry's press release.
