Authorities in Luxembourg are searching for two individuals who attempted to blow up an ATM in the Kayl-Tetange area. While escaping, a third individual was hit by a car.

Authorities are searching for two suspects after an attempted ATM explosion in a supermarket car park early Monday morning.

According to police reports, three perpetrators tried to blow up a cash machine shortly before 3am but were interrupted by law enforcement and fled the scene. During the escape, one suspect was struck by a car, sustained injuries, and was taken to the hospital. The other two remain at large.

Police also discovered a suspicious package near the ATM, which was safely neutralized on-site. The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect injured during the attempted robbery is set to appear before an investigating judge later today. Meanwhile, authorities have seized a vehicle used in the crime, which was reportedly stolen in Belgium several days ago.

The main road to Kayl was temporarily closed but has since reopened. A police helicopter was also deployed as part of the operation. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
