
On Tuesday, the University of Luxembourg will make history with the launch of its first satellite, POQUITO, from California's Vandenberg Air Force Base.
The University of Luxembourg is set to launch its first satellite, POQUITO, into orbit on Tuesday, 14 January.
The launch is scheduled to take place between 7.49pm and 8.46pm Luxembourg time from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
POQUITO, a miniature satellite developed by the university, will be launched aboard a Falcon 9 rocket manufactured by SpaceX.
The satellite's primary objective is to demonstrate the functionality of miniaturised technology in space. It will also serve as a reference for future missions by the University of Luxembourg and offer valuable hands-on experience for students and researchers.
