Based on a parliamentary question regarding postmen’s careers, CSV ministers and the involved employees took a stand, demanding a recategorisation.

Around 320 mail employees submitted their 640 objections to be discussed in the administrative court. These numbers were confirmed by ministers Elisabeth Margue and Serge Wilmes of the Christian Social People’s Party, CSV. In these appeals, the postmen are requesting to be reclassified into a C1 career path.

Since all appeals exhibit the same subject, and were submitted by the same lawyer, it was decided that some files would be treated as pilot files. The respective entities agree that as soon as a decision has been made all cases will be treated identically and conforming to the pilot cases.

Discussions about the evolution of mail employees' careers emerged from a parliamentary question asked by the Luxembourg Socialist Workers' Party ministers Georges Engel and Mars Di Bartolomeo.
