The Dutch police are searching for a man suspected of violently assaulting a homeless person in Rotterdam earlier this week. The individual might have a connection to Luxembourg.
The Dutch police released a photo this week of a suspect in an assault case. The man allegedly used a rock to brutally attack a homeless person sleeping on the street in Rotterdam, causing severe injuries. The victim is currently in critical condition in the hospital.
In a photo taken in a store, it appears that the suspect was carrying an eco-bag from Luxembourg.
Despite gathering numerous clues, the Dutch police have been unable to identify the man. He primarily travels by train and was seen in transit between Rotterdam and Breda on the morning of November 5. He then took a train to Belgium, headed for Antwerp and Brussels. The Belgian police have been notified, but it is also possible that the man returned to the Netherlands.
Description: The suspect is a Black man aged between 30 and 40. On Tuesday, he was wearing dark Asics shoes with bright red or orange laces, a black hooded jacket, and dark blue jeans. He had two Luxembourgish shopping bags with him.
The police had already released footage shortly after the attack, showing the suspect at the scene of the crime. According to the Rotterdam police, they received additional information following the release, but so far, all leads have come up empty.
Anyone who knows the man’s identity or whereabouts is asked to contact the police by phone at +31 79 345 98 00.
