Luxembourg police were called to address a range of incidents on Friday night, from drink-driving offences to a string of break-ins across several locations.
On Friday night, Luxembourg police responded to several incidents involving drink drivers, as well as a series of break-ins.
In Rodange, officers noticed a speeding vehicle and attempted to pull the driver over. The police noticed that the driver quickly tried to fasten their seatbelt. A breathalyser test later confirmed that they were under the influence. The driver was issued a temporary driving ban and fined.
Later that night, police received reports of a person struggling to walk down the pavement in Dudelange before getting into a car and driving off. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a breathalyser test on the driver, which also came back positive. The driver was subsequently issued a temporary driving ban.
String of break-ins across the country
In addition to the drink-driving incidents, the police reported a series of break-ins on Friday night in Bourglinster, Dalheim, Ernzen, Koerich, Tandel, Howald, and Luxembourg City. Forensic officers were despatched to the scenes, and investigations are now underway.
