The bankruptcy of Goosty, a popular food delivery platform in Luxembourg, has left hundreds of restaurants facing outstanding payments for delivered orders.
Delivery platform Goosty, which provided food delivery services for restaurants in Luxembourg, has filed for bankruptcy, according to a report from Radio 100,7.
On Wednesday morning, Radio 100,7 reported that approximately 400 restaurants that offered their dishes through the platform have not received payment for delivered orders. Steve Martellini, Secretary General of the Luxembourg Federation of Hotel, Restaurant, and Bar Owners (HORESCA), provided additional details in an interview with the station.
Some restaurants are facing outstanding bills of up to €6,000 for food that was delivered and paid for by customers but never reached the restaurant owners. HORESCA first received reports of unpaid bills at the end of August.
Currently, HORESCA is working to compile an overview of the total amount of unpaid services and has issued an appeal on its website, encouraging affected restaurant owners to come forward. Martellini noted that the case has been referred to their team of lawyers.
