Parents and caregivers are advised to check for "Moomin" lollipops following a recall by the Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration due to safety concerns.
The Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) has informed the public about a recall affecting "Moomin" lollipops, citing concerns that their size poses a choking hazard, particularly for young children.
The safety risk arises from the lollipops' size, hardness, and shape. Specifically, the stick may soften in the mouth, leading to the candy detaching suddenly, which can result in choking.
This recall specifically affects Moomin lollipops and does not extend to other Fazer brand lollipops, which feature a smaller candy portion and a different shape. Fazer has not yet provided an estimate on when these products will return to the market.
The recalled lollipops were sold at various retail locations throughout Luxembourg.
