Demonstrations for peace in Ukraine and Palestine drew crowds in Luxembourg City on Saturday, as citizens called on leaders to prevent further harm to innocent civilians.

Two demonstrations took place in Luxembourg City on Saturday, with one calling for peace in Ukraine and the other for peace in Palestine.

The non-profit association LUkraine organised a gathering at Place Clairefontaine, continuing its efforts to protest the ongoing war in Ukraine. Since the conflict began in February 2022, LUkraine has held regular demonstrations in the capital, urging an end to the violence.

Meanwhile, a separate group of demonstrators carrying Palestinian flags marched from Glacis to the Chamber of Deputies, calling for sanctions against Israel and a ceasefire in Gaza. Along the route, participants chanted slogans such as "Free, free Palestine."

At both demonstrations, participants called on politicians to take action to protect innocent lives affected by these conflicts.
