After nearly 10 years of construction, the N90 viaduct, also known as the "Transversale vu Clierf," will be fully open to traffic this Monday afternoon.
This road connects the N12 with the N7 and aims to alleviate traffic in Clervaux, particularly reducing the number of trucks traveling from the N7 to the industrial zone of Lentzweiler.
According to the Roads and Bridges Authority, it is estimated that a total of 10,000 vehicles will use the viaduct daily.
For the past two years, motorists were only able to drive from the Marnach roundabout to the Reuler roundabout.
Starting this Monday, the route between Reuler and the roundabout to the north side of Clervaux will be open as well.
The project turned out to be significantly more expensive than initially anticipated. Instead of the projected 36 million euros, the 3.7-kilometer road ended up costing 73 million euros.
