The fifth edition of "Vëlosummer" is set to take place from 27 July to 25 August 2024, offering a unique opportunity to explore Luxembourg by bike.

The Vëlosummer initiative aims to encourage residents and visitors to rediscover Luxembourg's scenic landscapes and picturesque corners through cycling, while also promoting cycling as both a leisure activity and a mode of transportation.

This year's event features 13 designated cycling routes covering over 500 kilometres and passing through 67 municipalities, including two in France. To enhance the cycling experience, 82 kilometres of roads will be temporarily closed to motor traffic.

Detailed information about the 13 routes—including their itineraries, difficulty levels, and nearby amenities such as restaurants, hotels, and bike stations—can be found on the velosummer.lu website and the VisitLuxembourg app.

Participants in the "Vëlosummer Challenge" who complete all 13 circuits and check in at designated points via the VisitLuxembourg app will win a commemorative yellow jersey.

Vëlosummer is organised by the Ministry of the Economy and the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works, in collaboration with local municipalities, regional tourist offices (ORTs), and the Bridges and Roads Authority.
