Starting 7 July, checking bus schedules in the Nordstad municipalities will become easier with real-time arrival information accessible at the stops.

Bettendorf, Diekirch, Erpeldange, Ettelbruck, and Schieren are launching this pilot project, as outlined in the coalition agreement. From 7 July, 150 RGTR bus stops in these municipalities will feature a QR code. By scanning the code, passengers will be directed to a website displaying real-time arrival information for buses at that stop. The site also provides schedules and routes, enabling passengers to plan their journeys more efficiently.

The project aims to ensure that everyone using public transport in the Grand Duchy receives the same quality of information, regardless of their location. The pilot will be evaluated in September 2024, with plans to extend the system to all 3,700 stops on the RGTR network by 2025. "This initiative is designed to meet the current and future needs of citizens," said Minister for Mobility Yuriko Backes.
