The Centre Hospitalier Emile Mayrisch (CHEM) announced on Tuesday that it will soon be equipped with two new mammography machines as part of an initiative spearheaded by the Federation of Luxembourg Hospitals (FHL) to upgrade mammography equipment across the Grand Duchy.

According to a press release from CHEM, these state-of-the-art machines will offer tomosynthesis capabilities, representing a significant advancement in the early detection of breast cancer in Luxembourg.

In light of these developments, CHEM is once again encouraging women between the ages of 50 and 70, who are registered with the National Health Fund (CNS) and residing in Luxembourg, to schedule mammography appointments every two years.
