A 220-square-metre hotel is being built between the two lakes, with 90 rooms that will all have a view of the lake. A high-quality kitchen with two-star chef Yves Mattagne is also planned.
However, the spa will not open together with the rest of the hotel due to less-advanced construction work.
Also planned for Lake Weiswampach is a so-called ‘Fun Park’, a sports complex which will offer various outdoor sports activities as well as a glamping site - a modern form of camping that targets younger families’ interest in particular.
The municipal management of Weiswampach hopes that this new hotel and sports complex will enhance their area, but the entire region should also benefit from it in general. Not only in terms of enhanced tourism, but also in terms of employment, as the project is expected to create 50 new jobs.
