On Saturday morning, the FOKUS party approved its complete list of candidates and its programme for the upcoming European elections.

Joining previously announced lead candidates Frank Engel and Monica Semedo, the list features notable figures such as party president and former Secretary General of the Democratic Party (DP) Marc Ruppert, Secretary General Anne Winter, Vice President Anne Lecuit, and Rick Oberweis, who also serves on the party's National Committee.

During the party's congress held at Vianden Castle, streamed live on Facebook, Marc Ruppert emphasised the wealth of experience present among the candidates, noting that no other list boasts such extensive experience in the European Parliament. The party, founded by former President of the Christian Social People's Party (CSV) and former CSV MEP Frank Engel, participated for the first time in municipal and legislative elections in 2023.

A few weeks ago, it was announced that MEP Monica Semedo had joined FOKUS and would be running with the party in the European elections. Semedo left the DP in 2021 following a bullying scandal. The MEP has already been sanctioned twice by the European Parliament for her treatment of her staff.
