Citizens will be able to follow live coverage online of five different parliamentary committee meetings, starting from mid-April.
This week, the Conference of Presidents made this decision as part of the parliamentary work reform, which aims to make the Chamber of Deputies' work more accessible and attractive to the public.
"It is important to ensure transparency in parliamentary work by making it accessible to people," commented Chamber president Claude Wiseler (CSV).
From mid-April, meetings for the agriculture, culture, environment, education and media committees will be streamed live on the Chamber of Deputies website. The sessions will also be available on catch-up services on chd.lu.
Ahead of the live streams, a number of modifications will be made to the committee regulations in order to adapt them for public viewing.
