The rollout of the new unit demonstrates the company's strong commitment to reducing the harmful effects of wildfires on nature, people, and the environment.

This strategic move, which confirms reports from earlier this year, represents a significant diversification for the all-cargo carrier. The primary goal of this unit is to provide critical assistance in the battle against devastating wildfires, which not only threaten natural resources and human lives, but also contribute significantly to global CO2 emissions.

The Aquarius fleet has already received its initial two aircraft, namely the Air Tractor AT-802F Fire Bosses, which recently touched down in Luxembourg. These specialised aircraft are equipped and trained to play a pivotal role in the suppression of wildfires.

Cargolux is committed to actively participating in the fight against the escalating wildfire crisis, with the launch of this unit marking a milestone in this effort.
