The first item on Monday morning's agenda was the official approval of the CSV-DP coalition agreement at the first Frieden-Bettel government council meeting.
The coalition agreement, first published on Friday, sets out the government programme for the next five years. The first government council meeting under the new coalition lasted almost two hours.
Monday morning also saw selected staff changes, with Christine Goy taking the role of Secretary General of the Government Council, succeeding Jacques Flies.
Goy, who previously served as Secretary General to the Ministry of Justice from 2021 to 2023, will now directly assist Prime Minister Luc Frieden.

The 50-year-old lawyer began her political career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs two decades ago, following an internship with Schiltz&Schiltz. In 2005, Goy stood as a candidate for the CSV in Luxembourg City's municipal elections.
Jacques Flies has been appointed Luxembourg's ambassador to South Korea. David Del Nin will continue in his role as assistant to the Secretary General.
The role of Chief of Staff, previously held by Jeff Feller under Xavier Bettel, has yet to be confirmed.
On Wednesday, Frieden will present details of the coalition government programme to the Chamber of Deputies.
