At around 4am on Wednesday morning, local law enforcement in Contern caught a motorist "drifting" across a roundabout.
Drifting on public roads is rarely a good idea, a fact that became abundantly clear to a driver on Wednesday morning. The driver's antics on the streets of Contern led to their apprehension after they were observed drifting across a roundabout.
Upon further inspection, law enforcement officers noted the presence of a "smell of cannabis" in the vehicle. They requested the motorist to undergo a rapid drug test, which confirmed their suspicions. However, the incident did not end there.
Upon conducting a thorough search of the vehicle, the officers uncovered "paraphernalia used for the consumption of cannabis." In addition, an examination of the driver's documentation revealed unpaid taxes. Finally, the state of the vehicle's wheels was found to be unsatisfactory.
As a result of these findings, the vehicle was immobilised, and a penalty notice was issued to the driver.
