An eerie discovery was made on Monday morning, when dead fish were found in the Dippach stream near Esch-sur-Alzette.
The local authorities and water management administration were at the scene to recover the remains and carry out analyses.
Initial reports suggest that the hot weather over the last few days has led to a drop in oxygen levels in the water. The results also conclude there are no indications of any form of water pollution.
