23 new petitions available onlineNew public petitions call for TikTok ban in Luxembourg, increased police presence
23 new petitions launched on the Chamber website on Thursday.
Each new petition has until 8 August to collect the necessary 4,500 signatures in order to qualify for public debate in the Chamber of Deputies.
Some of the latest petitions call for the following:
- A yearly blood test should be available to all without requiring a GP prescription.
- A reduction in working hours in the hospital and care sectors to make the roles more attractive to young candidates.
- A one-day ban each month on motorised vehicles.
- Increase police presence.
- Popular social media app TikTok should be banned in Luxembourg.
- Housing loans for a main residence should be limited to a maximum of 2% in order to stimulate the real estate and construction sectors.
- Luxembourg’s national criminal law should apply to young people from the age of 15 in order to combat juvenile crime.
