The incident took place at Chemin de la Corniche, a balcony-like area in the Upper Town overlooking the Grund.
The perpetrators, a group of five youths, started harassing another group of three youths. The attackers threatened the victims with knives and stole a coat, phone, speaker and headphones.
Police launched a search for the group of five. No one was injured in the incident.
