A large police operation closed the station on Saturday afternoon. Three hours later, the police said the situation had been resolved.
According to police, a person had told passers-by in front of the station that there was a bomb hidden on the premises.
The person was arrested and will appear in front of a judge on Sunday.
Protocol required the establishment of a security perimeter to assess whether the threat was credible. The road in front of the station was closed to traffic and pedestrians, and all bus and train services were suspended.

Following the all-clear, CFL said that normal operations would be resuming. However, delays and cancellations were expected while rail traffic was being restored.
Investigation launched
After the bomb threat was raised, the station building was evacuated. Checks carried out of the site by an explosives detection dog proved negative.
By 5.50pm, the building and traffic around the station had reopened.
An investigation into the threat has been launched by the Luxembourg-Gare police station, supported by the specialised investigative section of the Judicial Police.
