Following their civil wedding in Luxembourg last week, the couple tied the knot in a church ceremony in France this Saturday.

Unlike the grey skies of Luxembourg, this time the celebration took place under the sunny skies of southern France.

Princess Alexandra and Nicolas Bagory's religious wedding took place this Saturday around 4.15pm, at the Saint-Trophyme church in Bormes-les-Mimosas in a private ceremony.

Just before 6pm, the couple stepped out of the church and greeted not only their invited guests but also the many spectators who had gathered on the square to witness the occasion.

The princess is the only daughter and fourth of five children of the grand-ducal couple. They couple announced her engagement last November.

This is not the first time that a grand-ducal family wedding takes place outside of Luxembourg. Prince Felix and Claire Lademacher also exchanged their vows under the French sun.
