On the sixth day of the trial for drug trafficking, money laundering and fraud, the investigator detailed how they believe the drug trafficking business was carried out in 2020.

At least for a certain time period in 2020, investigators believe that the two defendants obtained the substances from a person living in Belvaux. It appears that they largely sold marijuana. The judge summarised that the two defendants almost always went to see this person first.

After that, they would often go to a parking box in Leudelange, where they may have divided the drugs into portions for sale, before sometimes making up to 17 different trips to customers’ homes per day. At the end of the day, they would often stop at another box in Kayl, where it is assumed that the goods were stored.

The judge stressed that this “appears” to be the case, noting that the investigators don’t know for sure. However, the judge conceded that the plastic bags and boxes that the defendants were moving around all of the time raise suspicion.

At the next hearing, the investigators of the Anti-Money Laundering Service will be heard.
