Prime Minister Xavier Bettel announced on Wednesday that he will convene a new tripartite meeting, while also stressing that the measures decided in March are "working."
While the last tripartite meeting was marked by social tensions, the situation is different this time around, according to the Prime Minister. On Wednesday, Bettel took to twitter and declared: "Our measures are working, we have the lowest inflation rate in the euro zone."
But this will not prevent the Prime Minister from resorting to what he considers "the magic potion" of the Grand Duchy: the tripartite. The government announced on Wednesday that a new meeting will be held between government representatives and the social partners.
By convening the tripartite, Bettel hopes to "secure purchasing power and jobs beyond the end of the year."
Also on Wednesday, the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (STATEC) released its latest economic forecasts, announcing another potential wage indexation for late 2023.
