The legendary "Zürcher Bal" made its big 60th edition comeback on Sunday, after a two year pandemic hiatus.

December 25 marks the evening of the traditional "Zurich Bal", which is organised anually by the Luxembourgish Students in Zurich (LSZ). Considered the largest student ball in Luxembourg, it provides an opportunity for friends and old classmates to get together again during the Christmas holidays.

This year, the event came back with a bang, marking its 60th edition.

Last year, the ball was cancelled last minute due to reinforced Covid measures and growing number of cases. The students were not charged for the drinks and the rental of the Luxexpo, and the state provided financial support. The costs of organization for the event amount to about 130,000 euros.

This year's atmosphere was ensured by the live music group "Noisemakers" and two well-known DJs, DJ Nosi and Flex Diamond, gathering everyone on the dance floor to show off their moves. The students were seen singing, dancing, and celebrating until the early morning.
