Happy birthday to Georges Christen, Luxembourg's strongest man!

Georges is a remarkable man who holds 26 strength records. To name just two of his jaw-dropping feats: Between 1982 and 2004, he pulled a car weighing more than 20 tonnes with his teeth and prevented three Cessna planes from taking off! For the latter he connected the three aircraft by cable, holding one in each hand and the third between his teeth.

He also blew up a hot water bottle using only his lungs.

Christen set his first world record at the age of 19, on 3 December 1982. At that time he managed to bend 250 nails with his hands, each 20 centimetres long and seven millimetres thick, in 72 minutes and 55 seconds. The previous global record was 'only' 50 nails.

In yet another amazing feat, Christen carried a woman on a table and walked 11m...holding them both with just his teeth! Check that record out here. He also tore up 28 phone book directories.

At the beginning of November, Christen showed his ambassadorial skills once again when Microsoft founder Bill Gates came to Luxembourg.
