200 new police officers will start their training next year. The same number is expected for 2024. This increased recruitment dominates the budget for internal security, which was presented to the responsible parliamentary committee on Monday.
The state also plans to invest €6 million on bodycams over the next five years. A corresponding bill is currently being drafted.
