The Federation of Associations representing Psychotherapists in Luxembourg (FAPSYLUX) questions the legality of a mediation between the National Health Fund (CNS) and itself in the negotiations for a reimbursement of psychotherapy sessions.
FAPSYLUX has commissioned a legal review of the procedure, which the Federation estimates will not be completed before next week. The psychotherapists will therefore not attend the first mediation meeting, which will take place on Friday evening. The news was announced on Thursday afternoon by Catherine Richard, the president of FAPSYLUX, in an interview with our colleagues from RTL.lu.
Following a meeting of the responsible parliamentary committee, Minister of Social Security Claude Haagen had previously announced that the mediation between the CNS and FAPSYLUX would start on Friday. The Minister and several MPs stressed that they hope that the two parties will be able to come to an agreement.
