Although the general unemployment rate has remained stable, the number of job seekers still recorded a slight increase of 621 people between June and July.

According to the latest report from the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (STATEC), a total of 14,259 people were registered with the National Employment Agency (ADEM) last month. Compared to the same period last year, the number of job seekers declined by 2,548 people (15.2%).

4,000 people currently benefit from an employment measure, which means they do not earn a full wage.

2,300 people registered with the ADEM for a first time, including 160 refugees from Ukraine.

Last month, the Agency had around 13,000 jobs on offer, a 33.3% increase compared to July 2021.
