
July 2022 has set a new record in terms of sunny hours, thus taking the title formerly held by July 2018, which had 348 registered hours of sun.

It was both sunny and dry throughout the month, with precipitation only reaching 6.8 l/sqm. The month of July thereby represents the third-driest month since the beginning of recordings in 1947. The least amount of precipitation was registered in 1949 with only 2.2 l/sqm.

The average temperature of July 2022 was 20.6°C, 1.9°C higher than the average recorded between 1991 and 2020. This year’s July was the six-warmest July since the beginning of recordings.

With a maximum of 36.3°C, last month failed to set a new record in terms of peak temperatures for July. The warmest day was recorded on 25 July 2019 with 39°C.
