On late Saturday morning, a fire broke out near Vianden. It has since been brought under control by firefighters.

A forest fire broke out in the Vianden area at around 10am.

At around 2pm, the fire brigade was still on site, but the fire has been declared "under control", according to information obtained by our colleagues from RTL 5 Minutes.

Six fire brigades were despatched to the area called "Bivels", near the town of Vianden.

According to the emergency services, no one was injured in the fire.
