The various restrictions in place in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic are progressively being lifted in Luxembourg.

While wearing a mask is still required on public transportation, including school transportation, effective from 14 March, this requirement no longer applies within schools as well as education and reception services.

Wearing a mask is nevertheless recommended by the Ministry of Education in some instances, such as after an infection or in busy places. Furthermore, anyone who wishes to wear a mask on a more regular basis is free to do so.

The elimination of self-tests in primary and secondary schools marks a major change and affects both standard and advanced testing.

Furthermore, pupils and their parents will no longer be required to notify the school in the event of a Covid-19 infection.

All persons who test positive are placed in isolation for ten days; however, if the person concerned conducts two rapid antigen tests with negative results within 24 hours of each other, isolation may be ended before the ten days are up.

It is evident that maintaining certain protective measures, such as regularly washing your hands and disinfection, is still critical.
