In 2021, MyGuichet.lu broke its personal record with 3.8 million procedures. In order to be as transparent as possible and to increase user-friendliness, a new tool has been developed in the form of the ‘Let’s simplify together’ button. As of Tuesday, users are able to find this button on several sites, including guichet.lu, and can click on it to submit suggestions for improvement. Procedures that are difficult to find, requests for unnecessary documents: All of this can now be submitted as feedback via ‘Let’s simplify together’ by anyone with a personal account. The website itself, however, is also accessible to those without a personal account.
Hansen also presented the new ‘GouvID’ app. The Minister explained that the app had become necessary because most people file administrative procedures on their mobile phones and not on their computers. Anyone in possession of an ID with a chip can now identify themselves via their mobile phone by simply holding their smartphone on top of their ID card. This eliminates the need for a special card reader to authenticate oneself via ID card, thus simplifying the procedure. According to Hanse, the chip in question has already been activated on about 85,000 ID cards. Residents who still have an old card without a chip can request a new one through their municipality, even if the old one has not expired yet.
