People who received the Johnson&Johnson vaccine for their first jab, and who have since received a booster with a mRNA vaccine, will be eligible to receive a second booster.

This additional booster can be administered three months after receiving the second dose. People affected will be able to visit a pop-up vaccine centre without an appointment, or they will be able to make an appointment at one of the three permanent vaccine centres via guichet.lu.

As it stands, an initial vaccination with a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, followed by an additional dose either of the J&J vaccine or a mRNA vaccine,  is considered as a complete vaccination with booster in Luxembourg and therefore meets Covid-Check requirements.

However, some European countries such as Germany require proof of three vaccinations. For this reason, the Ministry of Health has authorised a third jab for people affected by this, on a voluntary basis.
